MSc Eng. Dorota Adamska - experiment design consultant, sample preparation and NovaSeq operator

Research qualifications and technical skills:

  • Practical experience in preparation of variety of DNA-seq and RNA-seq sequencing libraries for Next Generation Sequencing on Illumina Systems, as well as nucleic acids and proteins isolation, purification and interactions study.

  • Fluency in running and setting up the sequencing on various platforms (Hiseq, HiScan, MiSeq, and NextSeq) as well as use of related equipment (e.g. Bioanalyzer, Covaris).

  • Comprehensive knowledge about designing of multiplexing strategies for different types of sequencing libraries and platforms. Related experience on multiple scientific groups coordination in common NGS experiments.

  • Bioinformatic skills regarding NGS data preprocessing and basic experience in transcirptomic, genomic and metagenomic data analysis.

  • Theoretical knowledge and extensive experience in consultations on compatibility of material preparation methods with the expected quality of data and the bioinformatic workflows.

Research qualifications and technical skills:

  • Practical experience with New Generation Sequencing on MiSeq platform and Shotgun Workflows.

  • Experience in Metagenomics and Environmental Sample analysis, including phylogenetic modelling.

  • Skills in broad range of wet lab techniques, including sample extraction, isolation and purification of genetic material, library preparation.
PhD Krzysztof Goryca - bioinformatician

Research qualifications and technical skills:

  • Experience in planning and realization of broad range of next generation sequencing projects.

  • Fluency in NGS data analysis including gene expression, genotyping and chromatin immunoprecipitation.

  • Experience with older parallel genotyping and gene expression techniques: microarrays and SAGE.

  • Fluency in R programming language.

  • Experience in working with public repositories of experimental data.


NovaSeq 6000 sequencer features:

  • NovaSeq is the newest addition to Illumina’s Next Generation Sequencing Systems portfolio. It offers the highest throughput reaching up to 6000 Gb per run, reducing costs even more compared to other Illumina Sequencers.

  • High scalability and flexibility allows for cost effective sequencing for virtually any application and project.

  • This instrument can run two flowcells in parallel at once. By choosing from four different commercially available flowcells, an investigator can optimize data coverage, sequence lengths and costs to specifically suit their needs.

Price list for NGS services

Next Generation Sequencing on the Illumina machines is a three-part process that consists of sample preparation (sequencing libraries construction), sequencing run and data analysis. The three services may be priced and provided either as a whole or separately. Different rates apply to the following user groups: internal academics (CeNT and UW) and external academics. Additional services are also available upon request.
