Position for Undergraduate Student

The Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at the Centre of New Technologies (University of Warsaw), headed by Dr. Krzysztof Ginalski, invites applications for undergraduate student. Position will be available immediately as part of the TEAM program funded by the Foundation for Polish Science, entitled “Application of systems biology to study important processes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae”.

Candidate's profile:

  • Education: Undergraduate student of biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or  biophysics
  • Qualifications:

– Experience in molecular biology or biochemistry lab

– Practice in basic molecular technics for DNA and RNA analysis, e.g. isolation, spectrophotometric and fluorometric quantity and quality assessment, gel electrophoresis, PCR, RT-PCR, RealTime-PCR

– Basic knowledge of sequencing technologies will be an advantage

Candidates should be highly motivated, reliable, scrupulous, organized and trustworthy.

We offer:

  • Fellowship monthly: 1 000 PLN

The successful candidate will work with the newest technologies of next generation sequencing (HiSec2000) within interdisciplinary research team. She/he will have the opportunity to conduct the research for Master degree thesis and continue her/his work during PhD studies.
